Small-time ex-con Michael has plotted what seems to be the perfect crime - the robbery of Riggs Armored Transport Company. He's infiltrated the All-Safe Alarm Company which monitors Riggs, and has studied the employees who will be working there on the fateful Easter Sunday the heist is to take place.

 With a seasoned team of veteran criminals assembled to execute the job, he's ready to strike. Michael and his partner storm the offices of All-Safe and take its crew hostage. Among them is Lucy an attractive young ex-policewoman whose lover, Danny, was killed when she "froze" during a robbery some years ago. Her spirit broken by the loss, she left the force and took a security position at the alarm company. Both mysteriously attracted to, and repulsed by her captor, Lucy resolves to stop the heist and keep her co-workers safe from harm.

 Michael's meticulous plans have not accounted for Tony, All-Safe's field service technician and the ex-cop who was Danny's partner when he was killed. Unable to get a call through to the office, Tony begins suspecting that something is wrong and returns to investigate. With danger rapidly mounting and no time to call for back-up, Tony becomes a one man S.W.A.T. team - striking back against the captors holding his co-workers and friend, Lucy, hostage. With minutes to spare, Tony nearly takes the captors by surprise, but is hit by a bullet. In the meantime, Lucy gets her hands on an assault rifle, and a high-speed game of cat-and-mouse ensues in which Michael and Lucy ultimately meet face-to-face in a tense standoff, with the loser certain to die. Recalling how she once let a life slip through her fingers because she was afraid to pull the trigger, Lucy is again faced with the same dilemma, only this time it is her own life which hangs in the balance.
