:: Show Synopsis ::

Part character drama and part mystery, REUNION marks a groundbreaking concept in series television as it chronicles the lives of a group of six friends over the course of 20 years – all in just one season. From the hopes and dreams of 18-year-olds to the realities that irrevocably mark those lives two decades later, REUNION 's stories are of love and loss, marriage and death, triumph and scandal. WILL (Will Estes, "U-571," "American Dreams") longs to leave his small town behind. Aided by an athletic scholarship, he will be the first in his family to go to college. CRAIG (Sean Faris, "Life As We Know It"), handsome and privileged, looks forward to the Ivy League with his girlfriend, SAMANTHA (Alexa Davalos, "The Chronicles of Riddick"), whose ambition is surpassed only by her looks and intelligence. The beautiful and sensual JENNA (Amanda Righetti, THE O.C.) dreams of becoming an actress; behind his cynicism, AARON (Dave Annable, "Little Black Book") dreams that his relationship with Jenna will go beyond friendship. CARLA (Chyler Leigh, "Not Another Teen Movie"), innocent and quirky, must choose between loyalty to her father and staying near her best friends. REUNION opens in 2005 at the funeral of one of the friends, whose death is being investigated by DETECTIVE MARJORINO (Mathew St. Patrick, "Six Feet Under"). Before the identity of the deceased is revealed, we're transported back to 1986, as the group is celebrating their high school graduation. The pilot episode follows all six through the summer of 1986, and we witness the formative events that alter their dreams and desires forever. Episode two finds the group a full year later, in 1987; episode three tells the story of a seminal event in 1988, and so on – culminating in the season finale at the friends' 20th high school reunion. REUNION also will build toward answering two important questions raised in episode one: Which of the friends is dead? And how did that death occur?

FLASHBACK TO 1994 – The friends gather at a New Year's party ringing in 1994. Carla arrives with her boyfriend Peter. Aaron is with his bride, Pascale. Will tells Sam that he got accepted to law school. Craig announces his run for State Assembly. Watching him from across the room is Rachel, the former secretary with whom he had the affair.

PRESENT DAY – Marjorino summons Rachel to the station. She thinks Craig should be in jail for murdering his wife. Marjorino knows that Sam had filed a restraining order against her. Rachel hands him a newspaper clipping and says that Craig ruined her life.

FLASHBACK TO 1994 – That spring, Sam and Craig celebrate their son Henry's third birthday with a party. Craig introduces Will to his campaign manager, Michael Duggan. Jenna tells Carla about her new boyfriend, Brad.

Aaron tells Carla that he doesn't trust Peter. He also lets her know that Pascale left him and took his daughter. Aaron admits that the only reason he let Pascale leave is because he misses Carla. Yet Carla chooses Peter instead of Aaron.

Rachel shows up at the birthday party demanding to see Craig. He secretly meets her in the hallway and refuses to get back together with her because he loves Sam. Because she's hurt, Rachel threatens to ruin his campaign with an accusation.

Later that summer, the gang gets together in Bedford for a July 4th barbeque. Will has joined Craig's campaign. Although Jenna's boyfriend Brad is married, she is confident that he will eventually leave his wife for her.

Before entering the party, Carla fights with Peter because she doesn't want to move to Chicago with him. He thinks she still has feelings for Aaron. Peter wants Carla to ask him to stay. Carla enters the house and tells her friends that Peter won't be joining them.

Michael the campaign manager arrives with a reporter. Sam is angry because she hates reporters. She complains to Will that Craig has bigger plans for their life than she does.

Carla confesses to Aaron that she broke up with Peter, who thought she was still in love with Aaron. Aaron says that he went to Paris and got back together with Pascale. She will return to America, pregnant with Aaron's baby.

The reporter interviews Craig and Sam, explaining that she has spoken to Rachel and is going to run with her accusations. Sam is furious. Michael quits Craig's campaign. Craig tries to appease Sam, and she asks him to swear that he never saw Rachel again. He does. Craig asks Will to be his new campaign manager because he trusts him.

PRESENT DAY – Marjorino pins Rachel's news clipping to the wall. It was that reporter's 1994 story about Craig's affair.

FLASHBACK TO 1994 – At Craig's campaign rally in the fall, Sam reads the reporter's claims that Craig had continued his relationship with Rachel even after his wife made him end it. Will assures her that it is all lies. Sam threatens to leave Craig if it is true.

Jenna tells Carla that Brad left his wife for her, and she thinks he might be "The One." Looking at Aaron and his pregnant wife, Carla isn't so sure that there is really a "One." Peter Holland enters the rally, having just moved back from Chicago. Jenna encourages Carla to beg Peter to take her back.

Will confronts Craig about Rachel's claims in the article. Craig professes his innocence, and he accuses Will of hoping it will be true so that he can win back Sam. Craig swears that Rachel is lying, and he begs Will to convince Sam of this.

Carla pours her heart out to Peter and admits that she was wrong to break up with him. He introduces Carla to his new girlfriend. Carla is again the victim of bad timing in love.

Will tells Sam that he trusts Craig and knows that he isn't lying. He even admits that part of him wishes the accusations were true because then he might have a chance with Sam. Sam still loves Craig, and she stands by him in front of the campaign supporters. As they approach the podium, reporters shout questions to Craig about the allegations. Sam makes a statement that she believes in her husband.

On Christmas Eve, everyone gathers at Craig and Sam's loft. Craig is now Assemblyman. Pascale, who is due to give birth in two weeks, asks Carla if she would be the new baby's godmother. Carla doesn't accept. Jenna shows up without Brad. Suddenly, Pascale goes into labor. They take her to the hospital.

Jenna later confesses to Carla that Brad is going back to his wife. Jenna was in love with him. Pascale lets Carla hold her new baby girl. Rachel shows up at the hospital and confronts Sam. She claims to have been spying on them, and she knows that their son is home. Sam fears Rachel, and she threatens to call the police. Sam warns her to stay away from her family and friends.

PRESENT DAY – Marjorino tells Rachel that he knows she was institutionalized and had a psychological breakdown. She asks if she's being accused of murder. "Not yet," Marjorino says.

FLASHBACK TO 1994 – At a New Year's Eve party to welcome 1995, Carla is shocked when Peter shows up to see her. He wants to get back together. They kiss.

PRESENT DAY – Marjorino heads for his car, but the lot is locked. A black Mercedes races towards him and mows him down. The car speeds away as Marjorino lies bloodied on the ground.
