A thank you letter from Colin to his Fans: August 15th, 2006
 

An open letter to CC Fans.

I am once again humbled. Humbled by your generosity, your loyalty and support. You guys have been fantastic from day one and it surprises me to no end how wonderful you all are. Thank you for my birthday gift. My new i-POD. It has been shackled around my neck since the day I opened the package and I cannot thank you enough. I've become a 'Pod Person'. God help me.

The lunch with you all was exceptional, and to tell you the truth... I was very tired and a little out of it when I first arrived. But, I didn't want to miss it. You are all important to me. It makes me smile to see some of the Veterans sitting alongside some of the newer faces. It's always a delight. You brightened my day.

We had a great lunch, you celebrated my birthday and then we all went for a big walk alongside a giant sewage pipe. How many other fan clubs all get together to stroll along giant tubes of human waste? Only the CC Fans. That's right. (I think JR's fan club went for a walk once, but all they got to walk past was an old port o' potty.)

You wonderful people have given me Wolves, Professional Race Car Instruction, Sky Diving (which I'm still convinced is a plot to get me killed) and an i-Pod. But mostly, you've given me laughter and a subscription to an exceptional world of no ordinary moments. Your contribution to my way of looking at the world is profound, and appreciated.

That, and you're all totally insane.
